Welcome Rachel Bartlett, Pilates Instructor

We're delighted to welcome Rachel to our practice as our new Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor.

Rachel is passionate about helping people feel stronger, move better, and gain confidence through Pilates. Her own journey into Pilates came from a love of movement and functional fitness. Alongside running, cycling and CrossFit, she discovered that Pilates was the missing piece—improving her core strength, posture, flexibility and body awareness while supporting her performance in other activities.

Rachel believes Pilates is for everybody, regardless of age, fitness level or experience. Her classes provide the perfect opportunity to take some well-deserved time for yourself, helping you reconnect with your body, reduce stress, and build strength in a safe and supportive environment. She loves seeing the positive impact Pilates has on both physical and mental wellbeing and is committed to helping every client feel their very best.

As a keen horse rider herself, Rachel has a particular interest in Pilates for equestrians. Horse riding demands excellent core stability, balance, flexibility and body control—not only to improve performance in the saddle but also to reduce the risk of injury. Rachel understands the unique physical demands placed on riders and offers Pilates sessions tailored to help improve posture, pelvic stability, symmetry, mobility and coordination. Whether you ride competitively or simply enjoy hacking at the weekends, Pilates can help you develop a more secure seat, communicate more effectively with your horse, and ride with greater confidence and comfort.

Alongside teaching Pilates, Rachel has enjoyed a 25-year career as an NHS nurse and has volunteered as a nurse around the world, caring for people from all walks of life. Her compassionate approach and wealth of healthcare experience allow her to support clients with understanding, encouragement and individualised care.

When she's not teaching, you'll usually find Rachel walking her dogs, horse riding, at the gym, or spending quality time with her family.

Rachel is looking forward to welcoming both new and existing clients to her classes and helping you discover the many benefits of Pilates—whether you're looking to improve strength, recover from injury, enhance your sporting performance, or simply enjoy moving with greater ease.
