Mummy MOT's with Ammie

We’re delighted to offer Mummy MOT assessments with Ammie Wheatley-Hubbard

here at the Stockbridge Osteopath Practice.

Ammie is a GOsC-registered osteopath with a particular interest in women’s health

and postpartum care.

Pregnancy and childbirth place incredible demands on a woman’s body, yet once the

baby arrives, so much of the attention turns to the little one. What about mum? Your

body deserves just as much care now as it did then.

A Mummy MOT is a dedicated postnatal assessment that looks at how your body

has recovered after pregnancy and birth, including your tummy muscles, pelvic floor,

posture and movement. Whether you’re experiencing back pain, tummy muscle

separation (diastasis recti), pelvic floor weakness, or simply want reassurance, the

assessment can help identify areas that may benefit from extra support.

It’s never too late

Whether you had your baby 6 weeks, 6 months, or even 10 or 20 years ago, you can

still benefit. So many women put up with symptoms for years, believing they’re a

normal part of motherhood. But common doesn’t always mean normal, and there is

often something we can do to help.

What to expect

Appointments last 60 minutes and cost £140. Ammie starts by listening to how you’re

getting on and what you’d like help with, then looks at how you stand, move and

breathe, and how your tummy muscles, back and pelvis work together. You’ll leave

with a clear picture of how your body is functioning and practical next steps.

Ammie explains each step first, and you’re always in control of what goes ahead. An

internal pelvic floor examination is entirely optional.

Book your appointment on 01264 810028 or at www.the-sop.com.

You’ve looked after everyone else. Now it’s time to look after you.
