I took my 5 week old baby to see Emma to ease her abdominal discomfort and for a general check-over after a long labour. After just a few treatments she fed and winded more easily and cried less frequently. Emma has a gentle and skilful approach with babies. I also visited Emma for treatment for myself post-natally which helped me to feel stronger. I have and would recommend Emma to anyone, especially to those with newborns.

In late 2009, I was eventually diagnosed by my GP with Vestibular Neuritis – The main symptom of which being constant Vertigo and sickness. I felt like I had just got off a fairground ride – constantly.

It was debilitating and after an unrelenting 3 months of it, and no solutions from GP’s, specialists and various other ‘remedies’ that I tried, I heard via a friend that he knew someone who had been treated successfully using Cranial Osteopathy. That is how I thankfully came upon Emma Wrightman.

I remember how sceptical I was; that such relaxing and gentle treatment could do any good, but the results were immediate and spoke for themselves.

As soon as I walked out of the practise, I knew it was the best money I have ever spent. It was the first relief from VN that I had had in months, and regular sessions meant my improvement came on in leaps and bounds. I am pretty much back to full health now, but if I get stressed and feel another on-set coming, I know that a ‘top-up’ from Emma is all I need.

I can’t recommend her Cranial Osteopathy treatment and practise highly enough – She literally gave me not only my health, but my hope back and I am very grateful.

After my 4 year son was diagnosed with Acute Glue Ear and referred to have have Grommets fitted I sort Emma's advice. Emma treated him with a course of Cranial Osteopathy. Emma's gentle, reassuring approach was wonderful. I was surprised at how quickly we started to see improvements in his hearing and was totally flabbergasted yesterday to find out that his Glue Ear has cleared up, he no longer needs grommets and the consultant has discharged him!

Thank you Emma x

Visiting an osteopath is a natural decision for me. I was introduced to the benefits 35 years ago by my mother. She visited an osteopath after years trying to manage back pain with pills. It transformed her life. That gave a teenager confidence to seek help from the same osteopath for a sports injury to my lower back. The results justified my confidence. They led me to follow a friend’s recommendation to consult Emma many years later. They’re also the reason I feel happy to trust Emma with my back today and why I’ve followed her advice to start Pilates. The pain associated with a ruptured disc is ample incentive to work hard to reduce the risk of a further occurrence.

Being pregnant and having back pain was very uncomfortable. I did try Physio first, but coming to Emma was the best thing I could have done. With her experience and surroundings I was very relaxed and she worked wonders with my low back. I’ve seen Emma up to the end of the pregnancy and I feel fully prepared and comfortable to deal with the pressure of labour on my body because of the work and advice I have received through coming here. Would highly recommend it!

Emma is reassuring and friendly. She treats with confidence that makes me feel happy to be in her hands during this pregnancy. She also treated my first daughter following a difficult birth and helped her latch for breastfeeding.

I received treatment from Emma throughout a very difficult and uncomfortable pregnancy. My posture improved dramatically as did my general well being. I had heard about cranial osteopathy for newborns and was keen to try it as soon as possible. It was fascinating and comforting to know I could help my child at such an early age.

I first visited Emma with my son Matthew in September 2008. He was diagnosed with Global Development Delay back in March 2008 and after numerous hospital appointments, blood tests, etc had not tested positive for any type of medical condition, much to our relief. Matthew was born full term by forceps delivery and although he had bruising to his head and face, this quickly healed and he settled into a good feeding and sleeping routine almost immediately.

I had heard of cranial osteopathy during my antenatal classes and thought this was just for newborn babies who had endured a traumatic birth and were unsettled, but I couldn’t of been more wrong. Matthew has just turned two and has the developmental age of a one year old. Since starting his treatment sessions with Emma we have seen an incredible change in his posture, mobility and personality.

He could not sit up straight and would drink his juice laying down, he could only commando crawl and was a very placid, lazy boy who had very little interest in the world around him. He is now sitting up straight and drinking in this position, four point crawling, standing and starting to cruise around furniture, which has stimulated awareness of his surroundings. He is more alert, inquisitive and has started babbling. All of this in just two months, it’s just amazing. My only regret is that I didn’t understand more clearly the benefits this treatment could bring to Matthew and our family life, and wish that I had visited Emma much sooner.

As you can see I have written quite a lot and I think I could have written a whole book about him once I got going, even though he is just two! See you in a couple of weeks for his next session.
